My Shed is, like, so in Vogue right now

So...  After a few submissions from my model photography to Vogue.it (yes, I jumped on that bandwagon) and an equal and opposite number of rejections (sorry, dear reader, but in all honesty we already knew I wasn't very good!) I actually had a submission accepted and I can't figure out why.

I had noticed recently that they were accepting a lot of, to put it mildly, non model related images.  Now, Vogue can do as they wish, since they are Vogue after all, but from the day I saw the shot of a cow in a field (much in the same, plain vein as Andreas Gursky's Rhine II) I became a little confused and disinterested and ever since I have noticed some of the darndest shots making it.  One shot was actually a shot of an empty underground car park, not taking away from the image on a technical level but, it was almost identical to a throw away shot I had taken when scouting my Bex series.  I simply don't get the connection!!.

Anyway, here it is, here is the shot that got into Vogue, a test shot from my new Sigma 70-200 (yum!) that I thought I'd submit for a bit of a josh...

I called it 'Hope' from the 'Inanimate Emotion' series

On a similar vein, they did refuse this shot of my fence, which I have been reliably informed looks "F****D...  Fair point.

Well, C'est la vie I guess, time to up my model photography so it's in line with my 'shoot from the back door into the garden since I have a new lens I want to shoot with but it's raining outside' photography...  Sour grapes??  Yes, bloody right!  But, I guess if anyone could tell you what was "In Vogue" right now, it would be those guys...
